My boyfriend is moving back to Belgium in the summer, and as I’m not big on public displays of affection, especially in sixth form because that’d be bare awks, I guess not that many people there are aware of our ‘being together’. Anyway the other day, and for that matter every time someone works it out, I was getting: ‘Oh my god I couldn’t do that!’ and ‘Oh my god what are you going to do when he leaves?, shit that’s going to be so horrible for you! How are you going to cope?’. What do you fucking think I’m going to do? We’ll carry on with our lives, we’re not kidding ourselves with delusional plans of a five year long-distance relationship because that would be insane. I have no idea how I’m going to feel when he’s gone yet but I definitely don’t need to be quizzed on how I plan to handle it because obviously I have no bloody idea. I just wish they’d stop and think about how stupid and pointless these questions/comments are.
